Life has been a little off balance lately. Aaron and I both are measuring time by weeks in the quarter (it’s week 5 of 11, so we’re just about half way done). I’m working too much, taking too many classes, and spending a lot of time at my internship. Aaron’ s working hard at both his [...]

The Happiest Place on Earth
Posted in Uncategorized on October 18, 2009 | 3 Comments »
This past weekend I celebrated my (28th!) birthday in the happiest place on earth. While I’ve got plenty of gripes regarding Disney, I must admit that it was a pretty happy place. “It’s a small world after all” and Space Mountain, and Mickey, and the fireworks, and the parade, and the music….I totally loved it and [...]
Jessie and Ryan Visit…..Now Back to Reality
Posted in Uncategorized on September 26, 2009 | 1 Comment »
This past week we hosted Jessie and Ryan Ridgely (our friends from the year we lived in Westminster MD). It was their first time out to Seattle and they got some amazing weather. It’s been August weather all September long, which is great since I was so sad we missed so much of the Northwest [...]

Last week we hosted our dear (old) friend Alex Kwon for a few days. Alex has been M.I.A. for the last couple years while he’s been at American for Law School. He took the Bar about a month ago, and decided to visit us as part of his attempt to relax, get his mind back [...]
Urban Blackberry Pickers

I heard this story and laughed out loud.
My two favorite quotes:

A few days into last week we got a phone call from my cousin Alan, who was cycling across the country from Bass Harbor, Maine to Vancouver, British Columbia. He and his girlfriend Grace were supposed to arrive the third week of August, but he called to let me know they were about two weeks [...]

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below,
Praise Him above ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
We are so grateful to God for saving Jenna’s life and for bringing her back to Ben, my little brother. Jenna went into cardiac arrest and her heart stopped two mornings ago when she [...]
Corvallis and Orcas Island with Allison

Months ago, when I was chatting on the phone with Allison about my plans to run the Rock ‘N’ Roll Half Marathon, we were also trying to figure out a time for a road trip, and decided to combine the two. While both of our busyness kept us from some of the planning we had [...]
Rock ‘N’ Roll Half
Posted in Uncategorized on July 3, 2009 | 3 Comments »
I ran my first (and probably only) half marathon last week! Allison flew in from Maryland to run the race with me, along with Matt and Mel, Alison L., and half of our church. The race sold out early with 25,000 runners!
I’ve been “training” for the Rock ‘N’ Roll for over three or four months [...]
